I love to factor exercise in to my working life whether it is walking, going to Yoga or I sometimes enjoy going for a swim - how about you?
I'm certainly not implying however that you should go out and get active it is a personal choice. I'm aware of the effects of movement as well as relaxation having studied anatomy and physiology, in great detail as part of my complementary therapist course (this is one of the modules I enjoyed, which came as a total surprise as I hated Biology lesson at school!)
These are some of the ways I ensure I stay active
#1 Going for a 30 - 60 min. walk
Going out in to the fresh air for a good walk is by far my favourite way to exercise, with Yoga and Pilates an extremely close second.
#2 Practicing some yoga moves
I love attending my weekly Yoga/Pilates class however if I want to practice in between times I refer to a great little Yoga book I purchased some time ago.
#3 Standing instead of sitting
Standing at your work station/desk or if you are at an event promoting your self and your work, which may help if it's possible for you to do so.
#4 Stretching
This is one of the general ideas from the self-care guide.
The secret as far as I'm concerned is to balance your self-care in a way that suits you. Fancy keeping in touch for more ideas about Holistic Living?
